Whistl acquires Parcel Hub Limited and Mail Workshop Limited
HMT LLP provided combined buyside advisory services to leading delivery management company Whistl on their acquisitions of Parcel Hub Limited and its sister company Mail Workshop Limited.
Headquartered in Marlow, Whistl is a leading delivery management company with activities in Business Mail, Doordrop Media, Parcels and e-fulfillment. They are market leaders in Downstream Access Mail (DSA) services, handling over 50% of bulk business mail in the UK and their mail expertise and infrastructure supports their continued growth in the parcel delivery and the e-commerce markets.
Founded in 2003, Mail Workshop provides eCommerce shipping and fulfilment, printed matter fulfilment, picking and packing. Launched in 2010, Parcel Hub is a multi-carrier shipping and e-commerce customer services solution which integrates with marketplaces and ecommerce platforms, providing hundreds of multichannel retailers, global brands and resellers with one access point to over 20 carrier partners and 300+ services.
Distributing over 6 million parcels annually across the UK on behalf of hundreds of ecommerce, ebay and Amazon retailers the company employs 90 people with a headquarters in Nottingham and was founded by Mark Rosenberg, Managing Director and Steve Riley.
Following the acquisition of Prism DM in 2017, Whistl’s acquisition of Parcel Hub and Mail Workshop forms part of their strategy to further their growth in the parcels and e-fulfilment markets.
This is the third time HMT have worked with Whistl, having advised on their MBO which was voted Deal of the Year at the Thames Valley Deal Awards in 2016 and on the acquisition of Prism DM last year.
HMT provided combined buyside advisory services to Whistl including Lead Advisory, Financial Modelling and Due Diligence.
