Amberjack acquires Fusion Graduate Consultancy

HMT LLP advised Amberjack, the UK’s Leading Early Careers recruitment services provider, on the acquisition of Australian recruitment firm Fusion Graduate Consultancy

Fusion Graduate Consultancy has joined the Amberjack Group, adding an Asia-Pacific Graduate Recruitment capability and a new Learning & Development proposition.

Fusion is Australia and New Zealand’s leading graduate outsource partner. Established in 2008 by experienced graduate managers, Fusion is proud to be a multi-AAGE/SEEK award-winning leader in the graduate market with in-depth knowledge and specific expertise in all aspects of graduate attraction, recruitment and development. Fusion has an unmatched capability to provide solutions that address the current demands of the graduate market and are scalable, innovative, cost-effective, and capable of delivering success to a diverse range of client partners.

For the past 20 years Amberjack have been pioneers in the Early Career recruitment sector. Their innovative recruitment technology and outsourcing services have delivered over 500 complex recruitment campaigns for some of the world’s leading organisations. Their solutions are regularly recognised across the sector with award wins at the FIRM, Recruiter and IHR awards in 2022.

The partnership will enable continued innovation and help the group exceed the expectations of client partners across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. Fusion will continue to offer their existing products and services, with access to new tools and technologies via Amberjack.

As part of the transaction, Amberjack will be taking Fusion’s market leading Learning & Development offering to the UK market.

LDC first invested in Amberjack in April 2019 to support a management buyout and accelerate the business’s growth strategy, which included providing capital to support investment in the software and technology propositions and to help the business explore complementary acquisitions to broaden its service offering.

HMT undertook due diligence on this transaction.

Dan Speed, Amberjack Global Group CEO, commented:

We are delighted to have made this investment and to unlock the complementary capabilities within both companies. We will be able to provide more recruitment resources and tools for Fusion in Australia and New Zealand, and in turn bring their highly impressive Graduate Learning & Development offering to the UK market. It is a win-win for both sets of our clients.”

Paul Read commented:

“We are delighted to have advised Amberjack and LDC on Amberjack’s first acquisition (Fusion) since Amberjack’s LDC backed MBO in 2019. With LDC support, this acquisition of Fusion will enable Amberjack to reach their goal of international expansion. We look forward to assisting in any future investments.”
