Six Degrees makes four bolt-on acquisitions

HMT were delighted to assist managed data services business, Six Degrees Group, on four bolt-on acquisitions.

Acquisition of Key Account Management – KAM was established in 2001 by Mr Ian Lewis with the acquisition of a customer list from Telia, and currently provides telecommunication products and services including voice and data services to mobile, VoIP, systems integration solutions and professional consultancy services to corporate customers.

Based in London, KAM has proven to be a successful business which is largely due to the quality of service provided to its customers.

Acquisition of Datahop Ltd – Datahop is a provider of a range of port connections across a high speed, highly resilient network connecting 21 datacentres in the UK and Europe, enabling it to deliver a wide range of internet transit solutions.

Acquisition of Ultraspeed Ltd – Ultraspeed is a managed hosting business based in London, which is run by Jordan Gross. Ultraspeed uses advanced technology which is highly complementary to Six Degrees’ existing cloud offering, and its customers include FTSE 250 companies, charities and digital media customers.

Acquisition of Blue Square Telecom Ltd – Based in London, BST, which is run by Matt Rutland and Mark Winsper, has focussed on a customer base of larger corporates within the City, and provides a range of telecoms services including lines and calls, data and mobile. The acquisition of BST enhances the product offering of the group, enabling significant cross selling opportunities into its wide customer base.
