Sam obtained his degree in Chinese Studies in 2020 from Newcastle University and after graduating joined the audit team at Grant Thornton, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2024.

Sam joined HMT in April 2025 as a Transaction Executive in our Due Diligence team and is based in our London office.

Downtime

Sam currently lives in Islington with his fiancée but has previously lived in Beijing and Sri Lanka and speaks conversational Mandarin.

In his spare time, Sam is an enthusiastic chef and enjoys playing and watching all sport, but in particular cricket. Sam also once ran the length of the Central Line, an impressive 52 miles!
