HMT LLP advised the Directors of Stratford’s Wine Shippers and Merchants Limited on the disposal of the trade and assets of the business.
Stratfords is an established wine importer and distributor of new and old age wines across the UK. The business has been distressed due to the recent loss of 2 major customers and the Directors therefore decided to dispose of the business.
In an accelerated divestment process, HMT prepared the business for sale, approached a select list of potential buyers and closed the transaction within a 3 week period to achieve a sale at a well received valuation. The trade, stock and assets of the business have been acquired by Kingsland Wines and Spirits, a Manchester based National distributor of wines and spirits.
