HMT LLP advised Rockpool Investments’ portfolio company EA-RS on their acquisition of specialist access control and door entry company Added Security Technology (AST).
AST is the third organisation EA-RS Fire Group has acquired this year, following the acquisition of CCSS Fire & Security and the trade and assets of Essex Fire Sprinklers.
AST is a specialist door entry system and gate automation company, providing expert safety and security solutions to clients in London and the Southeast. This acquisition will complement the services currently provided by CCSS Fire & Security, enabling CCSS Fire & Security to broaden its range of services to respective client bases, providing great room for organic growth and synergy within the group’s fire and security companies.
AST further grounds the EA-RS Fire Group within the social housing market, which will further assist CCSS in its mission to become the Center of Excellence within the housing sector, delivering a seamless service to all clients across the UK.
HMT undertook financial due diligence for EA-RS on this transaction.
Will Beckett, Investment Executive at Rockpool commented:
“The acquisition of AST represents and exciting next step as EA-RS continue to deliver on their buy and build strategy. We are grateful for the buyside diligence support provided by HMT. Paul and the teams’ advice was both insightful and pragmatic.”
Paul Read commented:
“We are delighted to have advised EA-RS and Rockpool on another bolt-on acquisition this year. The acquisition of AST will enable the group to widen their service offering and realise their ambitious expansion plans. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
