HMT LLP have advised Rockpool Investments’ portfolio company, EA-RS Group (“EA-RS”) on four bolt-on acquisitions in the past 6 months. EA-RS acquired Added Security Technology (London) Limited (“AST”), UK Security Doors Limited (“UKSD”), Firesec Compliance Limited (“Firesec”) and Air Projects Limited (“AP”).
Since Rockpool’s first investment into EA-RS in January 2021, the business has acquired six businesses including the four businesses noted above.
EA-RS is a leading provider of fire and security systems in the UK. EA-RS installs and maintains a broad range of systems covering critical infrastructures such as data centres and healthcare facilities and serves several other markets such as commercial property, education and social housing.
Based in Hounslow, AST is a specialist door entry system and gate automation company, providing expert safety and security solutions mainly to housing association clients in London and the Southeast.
From its base in the West Midlands, UKSD designs, manufactures and installs bespoke aluminium doors, windows and curtain walls serving a broad range of clients across the UK, including specifiers, architects, contractors, commercial and retail sectors, housing associations and local authorities.
Headquartered in Cheshire, Firesec offers a complete life safety solution by utilising leading technology to provide a systematic and transparent way of helping businesses achieve compliance with fire safety legislation. Firesec provides an array of services from fire risk assessments and electrical safety to ongoing fire protection maintenance for both commercial and industrial clients.
Leicester based, AP covers the whole of the UK and specialises in the healthcare market and in commercial projects. It offers a broad range of services from basic extraction systems to hospital theatres and laboratories. AP also provides expert advice on an array of services in ventilation, fume extraction, fire damper testing and healthcare compliance..
HMT undertook financial diligence for EA-RS on each of these transactions.
