Top Ten Holdings makes several acquisitions
HMT advised Top Ten Holdings plc, the UK’s third largest and only listed UK bingo operator, on several acquisitions.
Acquisition of Apollo Bingo and Bravo Bingo clubs – Apollo operates 3 bingo clubs at Rhyl, Blackpool and Caernarfon and Bravo operates a further three club in Leicester, Worksop and Blackwood. Since 2002 Top Ten has grown from 11 to 44 bingo clubs.
Acquisition of Westvale Leisure Ltd, which operates 13 bingo clubs in the Midlands and the North for £15.85 million – Westvale, formerly Walker Leisure (UK) Limited, was originally established in the 1960s. It currently employs approximately 300 staff and offers a similar mix to Top Ten. The acquisition is a good geographical fit with Top Ten’s existing portfolio, which now comprises 37 clubs.
