HMT strengthens its Transaction Support team with the appointment of Paul Read as a Partner
We are delighted to announce that Paul Read has been appointed to Partner from April 1st 2015. Paul is a due diligence specialist and has been working in our Transaction Support team since joining HMT in January 2013.
After qualifying in 2001 with BDO, Paul subsequently spent a number of years in the Corporate Finance department of a top 12 practice leading due diligence assignments for both private equity firms and banks before a period in industry as finance director of a private equity portfolio company.
Since joining HMT, Paul has advised on numerous transactions including the MBO of Virgin Wines, voted ‘Deal of the Year’ at the 2014 Thames Valley Deal Award, the acquisitions of Hammerhead TV and True Lens Services by Procam, the MBO of The Property Software Group backed by LDC, the investment in The Light Cinemas by Connection Capital and the investment in Watchfinder.co.uk by Beringea and Piton Capital. In 2014, HMT won “Due Diligence Outstanding Performer” at the Thames Valley Deal Awards.
HMT’s corporate finance offering comprises lead advisory, transaction support and tax advisory and Paul’s appointment as a partner, working alongside Andrew Thomson, confirms our position as a leading due diligence provider in the Thames Valley and London market complimenting our successes in lead advisory and tax.
