HMT triumphs at the 2021 Thames Valley Deal Awards

It has been a successful year for HMT at the 2021 Thames Valley Deals Awards as our Associate Director Ricky Collis was awarded Young Dealmaker of the Year. A deal we have led and advised on – the MBO of Aker Systems won Deal of the Year in its category.

The Thames Valley Deals Awards gala evening took place last night at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre and was attended by leading members of the region’s deal-doing community. HMT went into the evening with several nominations being finalists in all the categories that we were eligible for. Once again we triumphed as Associate Director Ricky Collis was called on the stage to receive the Young Dealmaker of the Year award.

This is a well-deserved accolade for Ricky who has advised on some of the world’s largest multinationals as well as the South-East of England mid-market.  In 2020, Ricky has demonstrated excellent dealmaking skills as well as outstanding market knowledge on all transactions he has advised on. He has been able to adapt to the current environment and offer to his clients innovative solutions to support them through to successful deal completions.

But this success was only the beginning as later that evening, the management buy-out of Aker Systems backed by LDC, a deal we have led and advised on was voted Mid-range Deal of the Year.

We are delighted to have been recognised at the Thames Valley Deals Awards by our peers from the corporate finance community, and we are extremely proud and thankful to our clients for their support as well as our whole team’s tremendous efforts and hard work in the past year.
