Thames Valley Deal Awards 2017 – Finalists are announced

The Business Magazine has just shortlisted the finalists for the Thames Valley Deals Awards 2017. Amongst over 680 nominations across the whole Thames Valley, from West Oxfordshire to London, only a few could make it to the finale.

HMT is delighted to be nominated in four categories including both the Corporate Finance and Due Diligence Teams of the Year and in the Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year category. Deals we advised on – Channel Mum and CIPHR were shortlisted as Deals of the Year.

The Thames Valley Deals Awards are an important event in the deal-doing calendar and it is one HMT look forward to every year. We have triumphed for nine consecutive years and last year won no less than 4 awards including ‘Corporate Finance Team of the Year’, ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ and ‘Deal of the Year’ in both categories (MBO of BOFA – under £25 million and MBO of Whistl – over £25 million).

This year’s winners of each category will be announced at the Gala Awards Night on April 6th at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in Reading.

In 2017, HMT is proud to have been nominated for both the Corporate Finance Team of the Year and the Due Diligence Team of the Year awards, illustrating our position as the leading transactional team in the Thames Valley.

Partner Andrew Thomson also is one of the five finalists for the Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year.

These nominations reinforce our position as the leading Corporate Finance adviser in the Thames Valley and across the South.

Congratulations

HMT also would like to congratulate our clients on their nominations:

  • the management team at Property Software Group for both their nomination for the Management Team of the Year award and in the Mid-range Deal of the Year category;
  • Channel Mum and CIPHR for their nominations for Deal of the Year;
  • Connection Capital, LDC, Mobeus, Maven and NVM who are shortlisted for Private Equity Firm of the Year as we have advised each of them on one of their deals in the past 12 months; and
  • HSBC, Santander and RBS who we have also worked with in 2016 for their nomination in the Bank of the Year category.

In the last 12 months, we consolidated our position as the leading transactional team in the Thames Valley, advising on over 35 deals with an aggregate value of over £225 million. In 2017, HMT is celebrating its 25th anniversary of advising ambitious entrepreneurs in the South of England and being the longest established independent advisory practice in the Thames Valley.

We hope to continue our record by securing success for the 10th consecutive year at the Thames Valley Deal Awards and we thank all our clients for their support and nominations, and look forward to continuing to deliver market leading transactions throughout 2017.
